Free programs and some Photos

Hi everybody, this blog seems to be all but dead. Anyways, kudos to the art department for unblocking deviantART, it really is a great site, and a great place for inspiration and to meet people. I recently published an article there detailing some free programs that are extremely similar to the ones we learned how to use in digital art classes, ans would like to share that list, along with some of my recent works. Peace everybody and don't stop creating.

Hey I know im not exactly a Fremd Student anymore but I wanted to show some work that I have been doing lately. As for Clean Lines Clothing I am a current designer for the upcoming company which is based in Florida. The release party of the clothing line is going to be in late november. Mikeykboutique.com is going to be up and running at the end of fall which is another clothing line and I am currently waiting for them to ask me to jump on as a graphic designer for their clothing as well. These are just some of the things I have been doing over the past month. I learned all of this from being in Fremd's art classes (kudos to Mr Melon and Mr Cargill). If you want to see a lot of my other stuff you can visit My website http://andyvalde.tk . Just remember that if you really want to do something nothing can stop you. Sorry for such a large post I was kind of bored... =).

The Guardian (because I need a better title)

This is a piece I've been working on for the past two months. It has been entered into The Great Frame Up LISA Show, and as recently as last night I managed to sell a print for $250- if the buyer doesn't back down. I'm hopeful.

The piece itself is nine inches by six inches. The original sketch was on notebook paper (as my art teachers yell at me), which I then scanned and traced the lines using a tablet and Adobe Illustrator. The coloring was in Photoshop, with MANY different brushes and a multitude of layers. Phew!!!

Some argue that it is a guardian, a beast of myth, even an egyptian god.

The question remains- what do YOU see in this piece?

These are some T-shirt designs

I created these designs for a band called Silvertide. They are in the process of deciding if they want to use them on their shirts. I wanted to keep the design simple so it would be easier to print them on the shirts. Let me know what you think.

My Alien and more.

Well, the alien project is done, so here is the finished piece. Mr. Cargill, or even the people in my class could tell you this is different from the one I turned in for a grade, but I like it better like this.

Hope ya'll like it. And while I'm here, I think I'll post one of my home-made artworks.

For this, me and my good friend Bobby were messing with my camera, we got some awesome shots of him looking evil, and after a little photoshop, well, bingo.

Lastly, some free advertising

A small preview

This is for my digital studio class at school. The assignment was alien, so I took it literally. I may post the original sketch some time, and you'll see it has changed quite a bit to the new design.Just so you know, this was done in adobe illustrater, and turned into jpg format in photoshop, so the colors a way off the final version. Hope you like it, nonetheless.

Wow, the colors are way off...shoot...
